Where has the year gone!!!

I can't believe my baby is already a year old! The time has flown by. I remember a year ago being so scared to be a mom and having this tiny little baby depend on me! Being a mom is definitely different than what I thought but in a good way.... Ashtyn has been such a blessing in our lives, she's always so happy and loves everyone! It's so fun to see her hit different milestones.... She has started to walk and loves to be independent! She also loves to sit on my lap before bed and be cuddled (my favorite part of the day)! Ashtyn says momma and dada and signs "more". Dave has also taught her to wave her finger in the air when he says "Oh no she didn't"! It's so cute but she has also started to do it when she's mad!

My sister Theresa, Rich and their baby Maci came to see us over Thanksgiving. It was so much fun having them here! Ashtyn and Maci actually played really well together. (Maci is about 8 months older than A) While they were here, we had a little celebration for Ashtyn's birthday. We did the smash cake with a huge red velvet slice. She was so cute... at first she would just pat it and didn't really know what to think but then she really tore into and we had red velvet cake everywhere! We had a lot of fun family time and are so glad that they came down, and my parents were here to celebrate the holiday! Thanks to Angie Ward (the other Angie Ward) for taking these last pictures of us for Christmas cards!

Life has been good for Dave and I too! Not much of a change but I don't mind that! We can't wait to see the rest of our family over Christmas!
